Be Smart With Your Art: Discover the ART of Building Your Business
3 part workshop
Wednesdays, May 1, 8, and 15, 2013

Course 1: Networking Skills:
May 1, 6 - 9 p.m.
Do you need clients? Are you interested in
networking, but feel uncomfortable with
"how to do it?" In this three-hour,
interactive workshop, you will learn:
     - The "Five Golden Rules" of Networking
     - How to "break in" to groups of people
     - Small talk Do's and Don'ts
     - How to make an unforgettable first impression
     - The Art of "follow-up" with your contacts

Course 2: Sales Training:
May 8, 6 - 9 p.m.
If you're afraid of being either too aggressive or not aggressive enough, this workshop will change the way you think about "sales" forever! In this three-hour, interactive workshop, you will learn:
     - How to ask a potential client 5 essential questions
     - A "step by step" strategy to close 80% of potential clients
     - How to talk about your services/products in feature/benefit language
     - How to "close the deal" and ask for the business!
     - How to overcome objections such as "let me think about it."

Course 3: Presentation Skills:
May 15, 6 - 9 p.m.
Communicate your message clearly - whether it is
one-on-one, over the phone, or in front of an audience. In this three-hour,
interactive workshop, you will learn:
     - How to have more confidence in talking about your business
     - How to establish yourself as an EXPERT in your field
     - How to let go of the "fear" of public speaking
     - A template to use for speaking in front of any audience
     - Body language techniques such as your voice, hands and posture to     create professionalism

Classes


Wednesdays, March 6 through May 1 (no class March 27), from 6 to
9 p.m.



Don’t know your warp from your weft but have a yen to turn yarn
into fabric? Beginning & Intermediate Weaving classes offered by the
Edinboro University Entrepreneurial Learning Center could give you your start in
textile creation.


Classes will be held Wednesdays, March 6 through May 1 (no class
March 27), from 6 to 9 p.m. at the StARTup Incubator, 423 Plum Street
Edinboro.


The class fee is $155, plus supplies. Looms and related
equipment are on site. Call 814-732-2544 to
